The Speech Marathon by Brasov Toastmasters Club

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Since June 2010, Toastmasters meetings are being held every week in Brasov.

Brasov Toastmasters Club invites you to a new special event: The Speech Marathon!

Time: 18:15
Where: Prefectura Braşov, B-dul Eroilor Nr. 5, Cam. 120
(Identity Card (buletin) required at the front desk)
Agenda:
18:15 – 18:30 Meet and greet
18:30 – 20:30 The Speech Marathon

The evening will start with the prepared Speeches (delivered by TM members) and will continue with 2 Table topics sections. This part is held especially for the non members.
2 Toastmasters members will propose subjects to be discussed and the guests will give impromptu Speeches based on different questions. The objective is to learn how to speak on the spot, without any preparation.
After that, Toastmasters club members will evaluate the prepared speeches.
The audience will vote for the best speaker, most effective evaluator and for the best Table topics speakers (each for every section).

‘Five weeks have now passed since our speech marathon and the first thing that comes to mind is how everyone seemed happy to be there. From ardent Toastmasters eager to take on a new kind of challenge, to John jumping around like a frog, to Lex dancing with Costi, it was a fun-filled evening.
Member speeches were effective and well accepted. I remember emotions running deep for Marian who firmly believes that living in a better country depends on each of us, then the humorous lessons Claudia learned from her grandmother, and Roxi’s hilarious perspective on social networking. The table topic sections were memorable due to Rinda’s wit-challenging quotes and Angi’s joyous games.
Thank you Ceai et Caetera for hosting a new experience for the Brasov Toastmasters Club! Both members and guests had a pleasant evening.’
